In the first part of the series, I gave details about NFS Most Wanted 2012, Assassins Creed 3 and Crysis 3. Today, I would provide details about 3 more games which are creating a lot of buzz in the gaming community. These 3 games are- Halo 4, Resident Evil 6 and God of War-Ascension. Read on.
1) Halo 4: Halo is an Upcoming first-person shooter Video Game in the renowned Halo franchise exclusive to the Xbox platform. It is the eight installment in the franchise. It is intended to be the first game of a new Halo Trilogy called "The Reclaimer Trilogy". Halo 4 is being developed by 343 industries after the Bungie (which developed previous 3 games of franchise) severed its ties with Microsoft. Halo 4 was officially announced at the E3 expo this year and is set for a worldwide release on 6th of November for Xbox 360.
Halo 4 would mark the return of John 117 as a playable Protagonist after 2007's Halo 3. Halo 4 would pick-up right from where Halo 3 left. Having been lost in space since the finale of Halo 3, the Master Chief (John 117) and Cortana adrift aboard the wreckage of the UNSC frigate forward Unto Dawn, find themselves near a mysterious Forerunner planet. The campaign will mainly take place on the artificial Forerunner Planet Requiem. Not much is known about the plot of the game apart from the fact that a key plot point will changes to Cortana and how her exposure to Halo and her operations beyond her natural lifespan may have contributed to her becoming Rampant, a mental state of aged ALs akin to insanity which normally results in the death of the Al. Halo 4 will be released in two separate versions- branded 'Standard' and limited edition with the latter including access to future Downloaded Content.
2) Resident Evil 6: Resident Evil 6 is an upcoming dramatic Horror Video game developed and published by Capcom. It is known in Japan as Biohazard 6. The game is scheduled for release on October 2nd 2012 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and would be released at a later date for Microsoft Windows.
The Plot of Resident Evil 6 is as follows- In the year 2012, Adam Benford, the president of America has financially decided to reveal the truth behind the Raccoon City Destruction Incident of 1998. The President believes that revealing the truth would curb the current resurgence in bio-terrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S Kennedy and his new partner Helena Harper; but when the venue becomes host to another bio-terrorist attack, Leon is forced to face the infected and mutated President, making the hardest decision in his life. At the same time, Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance Captain Chris redfield and his team, including B.S.A.A. member Piers Nivans, arrive in the fictional Chinese city of Lanshiang (based on Hong Kong), itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. Since no country in the world is safe from these attacks, the entire population of the world now fears that there maybe no hope left. A playable demo of Resident Evil 6 would be released on the PlayStation network and Xbox Live Marketplace on September 5.
3) God of War: Ascension-God of war: Ascension is an upcoming third-person Action Adventure Video Game being developed by SCE Santa Monica Studio. The game would be published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is set to be released on 12th March 2013 exclusively for PlayStation 3.
According to the official God of War:Ascension website, the game is set 6 months after Kratos killed his wife and child. The game follows journey Kratos's from past redemption and his past sins and the rise of his rage to break free from the Ares's bond. The game would be set in ancient Greece with players controlling Protagonist Kratos as he attempts to severe his ties with the God of War- Ares. God of War: Ascension will chronologically be the first chapter in the series, forming part of a saga with vengeance as a central theme. The director of the game Todd pappy said that "The game would introduce players to a more human Kratos than before". Pappy also confirmed that Kratos would have Blade of Chaos and that the story takes place after Kratos sold his soul to Ares.
